Cool Tech and Upgrades for your Luxury Vehicle

You have the car of your dreams in your garage. It’s all you need. There are no other accessories that you…

Wait. Did you say a handmade espresso travel set for the car? Why, yes.  For a little over $200, you can brew your favorite espresso in the car with a special case that allows you to brew coffee while driving. And then you can stash it in your glove box.  Handpresso Auto includes two unbreakable cups and a towel, ostensibly to wipe your chin after indulging in a little road espresso.

Not a coffee drinker? Maybe some 100% natural sheepskin floor mats are your style. They’re hand crafted and the driver’s side features a leather heel pad for durability. Each mat is custom-made to fit your car and probably feels like walking in a pair of UGG boots if you were to drive barefoot. Keeping that baby clean in the winter and rainy season could be problematic, however.

If you want your pet to travel in style too, perhaps a fancy dog seat would be right up your alley. There is one particular basket from Brookstone that keeps your pet comfortable and stable to avoid car sickness. No one wants a carsick pet in the back of their luxury car.

Your car seats are probably already beautifully made in your vehicle of choice, but if you could add a seat cover that features five built-in massaging motors to relieve tension, wouldn’t you? Two massagers target lumbar strain in the lower back, two on the seat pad for your upper thigh and leg muscles, and one massager for the upper back and shoulder blade area. If you have a long commute to work, this could be a welcome accessory. It comes with 12-vote and 110-volt adapters for home and auto, not to mention 10 embedded bio-magnets to promote blood and oxygen circulation.

Taking a trip? In 2014, Louis Vuitton and BMW launched an exclusive luggage set made specifically for the BMW i8. The muted black color of this luggage range matches the colors of the Sophisto Grey BMW i8. If you own an i8, you know the trunk is compact; this set was created to fit exactly.

While you’re taking that trip, you might consider this deluxe travel cooler/warmer. It plugs into the 12- volt outlet in the car and rests on the vehicle’s seat, tailgate, hatch, or floor for easy access. You want your pizza to stay warm and your Coca Cola to stay cold, right?

For many of us, our cars are our second homes, and there is an adapter on the market that plugs into almost any car to provide unlimited monitoring with zero fees. Know where your car is at all times, make sure that in the event of an accident that you and your family will be taken care of, and even connect your car to your Echo, your smart thermostat, or any other part of your digital life. This product works only in the US.  In sum, it uses 3G connectivity, offers real-time vehicle location tracking regardless of who is driving your car, decodes your check engine light, and also has crash detection that deploys emergency services to you.

Perhaps you’d like to take a camping trip. Kakadu’s rooftop tent, priced out at about $1,400, allows you to get above the creepy crawlies on the ground and use your vehicle as a tent pole or two. If you are in the market for a high-end roof rack system, Whispbar offers aerofoil bars for which aerodynamics are considered in the design. The result is a fuel-efficient ride with less drag. Then you can hook your tent to the top.

Have you ever lost your keys? Or your pet, for that matter? Find your lost keys locate your pet by tag with a color-coded button, and a beeping sound in conjunction with quick light flashes will lead you to them. If you have a toddler in the house, this could save your sanity.
There’s always room to dream for more. What will they come up with next?
