Our Process

In the repair and restoration of your vehicle to showroom quality we employ a superior process
considered the most progressive in the collision repair industry.

We begin at Reception where your vehicle is checked in and your rental car arrangements are secured. At this time we will determine your preferred methods of communication and you will be assigned a Customer Service Representative who will work with you throughout the entire process.
Your Customer Service Representative will stay in touch with you, find answers to your most important questions and act as a liaison with your insurance company. We understand that your vehicle is very important to you. Many of our guests have a special relationship with their vehicle and even the most minor damage can be a very upsetting and stressful experience. Our goal is to eliminate your stress by making the process of repairing and restoring your vehicle back to showroom condition as easy for you as possible.
Our Blueprint process is the most thorough of it’s kind in the industry. At this stage your vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is scanned for alarm codes, carefully disassembled, structurally measured and each part scrutinized to determine if the insurance adjuster has properly identified all damages requiring repair and all parts requiring replacement. Using the latest technology our expert technicians are able to determine if your vehicle’s frame has been compromised in any way. Even the slightest degree of change in the alignment of your vehicle’s frame or internal structural components can compromise your vehicles performance and your safety. We use a 3Dimensional measuring camera called the Matrix Wand to take the most comprehensive measurements in the industry. This helps to insure your vehicle not only appears to be in showroom condition post repair but adheres to the original factory structural specifications. Additional parts/repairs are communicated to the insurer in the form of an insurance supplement.

Once the insurance supplement is approved, generally requiring a visit to the shop by an insurance adjuster, any additional parts required to properly repair your vehicle are ordered.
When all parts are received our expert body team goes to work. The structural team first straightens any frame or uni-body components back to manufacturer specifications using Car-O-Liner frame pulling systems with in-situ measurement capability to ensure optimal straightening. Then any damaged components or sections are removed and replaced with original manufacturer components. We never use after-market, reconditioned or used parts in the repair of your vehicle.
Autocraft Bodywerks is certified to work on aluminum and if your vehicle has aluminum body parts it will be repaired in our aluminum-only repair center. Repairs for aluminum require specialized equipment and training. In addition, welding activity for aluminum must take place in an environment completely separate from where steel welding, cutting or grinding occurs. Steel dust and micro-particles severely degrade aluminum welds. Our aluminum repair team has the highest level of training in aluminum repair available. Our goal at Autocraft Bodywerks is to repair and restore your vehicle to showroom condition.
Our body repair team has literally decades of experience performing expert body repairs on every kind of vehicle, especially luxury vehicles. Their training is always up to date and they are provided with the most technologically advanced tools and systems available to ensure that all repairs to your vehicle are compliant with the original manufacturer’s specifications. At Autocraft Bodywerks we are passionate about what we do and take pride in not only repairing your vehicle but also restoring it to showroom condition.
Using the latest technology our expert technicians are able to determine if your vehicle is structurally sound or if your vehicle’s frame has been compromised in any way. Even the slightest degree of change in the alignment of your vehicle’s frame or internal structural components can compromise your vehicles performance and your safety. Our highly trained and experienced technicians are able to determine what if any damage has occurred, remove the damaged portion and replaced that part with factory parts. We will never use reconditioned, used or aftermarket parts in the repair and restoration of your vehicle.
Our paint master is a fourth generation painter with decades of experience in high quality automotive paint repairs. We use the latest technologies combined with years of experience to turn automotive painting into an art form. Proper color matching requires the right tools, expert knowledge and a keen eye for meticulous detail. When it comes to blending, we believe our team is the best in the business. Once your vehicle has been painted it will bake in one of our state-of-the-art paint booths to properly cure and seal the paint. Restoring your vehicle to showroom condition requires expert attention to detail throughout every step of the process.

After curing and cooling, your vehicle enters our light tunnel where it is inspected to the highest degree in the industry using OEM lighting technology to expose any imperfection. Our dedicated paint buffer ensures that the texture of the fresh paint matches that of the original paint and is entirely defect free.
Once your vehicle is reassembled, it is sent to our quality control department for a complete and meticulous inspection externally and internally to insure it has been returned to factory specifications in every way. Each vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is scanned for alarms. Any alarms are debugged and cleared as needed.
In the final process of restoring your vehicle to showroom quality our detailing team will dedicate between 6 and 12 hours towards buffing, polishing and cleaning every inch of your vehicle, inside and out, including the trunk and under the hood, to achieve what we call the “wow” factor. If you don’t say “wow” when we deliver your vehicle then we haven’t done our job.
